Sometime we forget the most important person....

JILL typed the blog addition for me tonight and I realized I was incredibly remiss in not thanking her. Easy for me as I was snoozing most of it -

"I had no idea how strong my wife has been these last 2 weeks. I can only try to enjoy a few more half -filled cups of good red wine, each others company, our children, and a few more sunsets"

  3. "O" Poem of Faith

Our hearts were heavy, our heads held down, but we stood firm on our faith and knew you needed time.

We made our way to your bedside shaking and hands held tight, we were calling on "Our Lord" to bring on the light.

As Dora, Cindy and myself held your hands we did not ask why for fear we would cry.

Lord you heard our prayers and felt our love because only you showed from above.

    Love
    Pat Griffiths

  7. Bill,
It's been two + decades since I last saw you and Jill, if I'm not mistaken--but you've been in my thoughts constantly this past week. How thrilled I was to hear you're home. Life can change in an instant, and this is the second reminder I've had of that in the past 18 months. Luckily, the outcome was good both times. Recover well. I hope Jill can take a deep breath now. 8. I love how God puts people in our lives for a reason.. and his timing is always impeccable. I happened to be surfing Facebook and looking for Gnaw Bone campers and found Katie. She was gracious and informed me of your current status...how the prayers have been flying upward for you and your family. I have been watching your blog, which has been fantanstic to see your progress... God is Good.

I also love the fact that Alice is watching over your girls at Gnaw Bone and keeping them very occupied during your critical time in the hospital.... what would we have done without Gnaw Bone Camp. (I also have a niece at GBC this session.) I count my blessings that we have been able to catch snippets of each others lives throughout the years since we met with Key Club... camped at Gnaw Bone as counselors... and worked your way through Residency at "The" Methodist (that is over almost 30 years.. oh my).

Billy O, I have always enjoyed your friendship and your smile...God has blessed you with your loving wife Jill and your lovely family and I will continue to pray for your continued speedy recovery. I also look forward to the next 30 years of popping in and out of each other's lives. God Bless you and your family and I thank your family for sharing the updates during a difficult time. Take Care... Diane (Riner) Berry

  9. Bill,
Been following along from a distance waiting for the right time to chime in. So glad to hear your at home, as we all know, the hospital is no place for rest.

Your ordeal has really hit home with us in the "business". Huge concern and support has been circling for you and your family.

Wish you a speedy and uneventful recovery.
